So Livia has been rocking & rolling for a while now and just yesterday, started crawling! She's such a chunker we thought it might take her longer to learn to coordinate herself to crawl =) I guess she could only sit still so long while watching big brother run around. Here she is at 7.5 months exploring her world! More September pics on our flickr.
I took this picture of Livia today and was reminded of a similar shot of Edison at almost the same age.
Aside from their shared pudginess (but I think L wins out in that department), they don't look much alike, huh? Can't believe Livia is almost 6 months old! I look at Edison running around, speaking to me in full sentences and, while that's fun too, it makes me really want to hold on to this time with Livia for as long as possible. They are small for such a short time...
On Thursday Edison and I went to pick blueberries at Bulter's Orchard. They were ripe and delicious and Edison loved riding the tractor-pulled wagon to the blueberry bushes, picking, and of course eating them!
Then the next morning we made some yummy muffins. I really liked this recipe- they turned out not too sweet and it uses yogurt (which I always have on hand) instead of milk (which I usually don't)
Edison has been so fun because he's communicating much more clearly and even speaking full sentences now! This can be a a little tricky though too because one evening a couple weeks ago when Eddie was talking to him and asking about his day, Edison spilled the beans about making a "Fahder's day card". Doh! Oh well, he was still happy to get it that Sunday.
So grateful for my MIL who watched Livia for me so I could spend quality time with my little guy. Speaking of Livy, here are my new favorite shots of her
**Edit** Thanks for your comments, Friends! =) Re: blueberry recipe: I used one from the Simply Recipes site I linked to above. Here it is again http://www.elise.com/recipes/archives/001412blueberry_muffins.php
It seems like a lot of batter but I just packed the muffin cups and that's why they turned out so big, which was perfect b/c Eddie loves muffin tops. We really enjoyed them and they were all gone in 2 days. Happy picking/baking!
We're trying to encourage Edison to pray on his own so we're practicing by having him repeat after us. This was lunch today.
Me: Edison, let's pray. Repeat after Mommy, ok? E: OK Me: God is great E: God ees grapes Me: God is good E: God ta goot Me: Thank you for the food E: Tank da padapa hood Me: Amen E: (munch munch munch...already stuffed his mouth and chomping away) =)
